Abstract

This article explores the multi-faceted impact of social media networks on modern society, examining both their significant advantages and psychological, social, and economic disadvantages. Social media has revolutionized global communication, enabled rapid information dissemination, and created unprecedented opportunities for digital commerce and learning. Concurrently, it has introduced critical challenges, including cyberbullying, mental health decline, privacy erosion, and the spread of misinformation. Drawing on sociological and psychological research, this paper provides a balanced critical analysis of digital connectivity and offers structural recommendations for cultivating a healthier digital ecosystem.
