Maqolada internatsional oila farzandlarida etnik identiklikning shakllanishiga ta’sir etuvchi omillar E. Erikson, J. Marsia, J. Finni, G. Tajfel va J. Terner, M. Bryuer, J. Berri, U. Bronfenbrenner, V. Benet-Martines hamda M. Rut va boshqa olimlarning nazariyalari asosida tahlil qilinadi. Etnik identiklik ikki madaniyat o‘rtasidagi o‘zlikni izlash jarayoni sifatida ko‘rib chiqilib, uning oilaviy (etnik sotsializatsiya), etnomadaniy (muhit, stereotiplar, ijtimoiy qabul) va shaxsiy (izlanish, o‘zini qadrlash, bikultural integratsiya) omillarni birlashtiruvchi ijtimoiy-psixologik modeli taklif etiladi. Maqola oxirida internatsional oila farzandlariga psixologik yordam ko‘rsatish va modelni empirik tekshirishning yo‘nalishlari bayon etiladi.
